Apple Blossom is a family owned and operated orchard and market in Black Creek, Wisconsin. We partner with parents and schools to grow healthy families in Northeast Wisconsin.
We believe that quality of life is enriches with delicious, nutritious, and locally grown fruits and vegetables brought from local farms to the table.
Apple Blossom grows, picks, packs, and distributes the region’s bountiful harvest through our retail store, approved outlets, and area schools.
Apple Blossom serves the area’s food service personnel with great product, great prices, simple online ordering, and reliable delivery. We provide organic fertilizer, bedding plants, technical expertise, tastings, and sampling events to local schools.
We proudly support the Farm to School revolution. Farm to School is a nationwide program designed to encourage schools to buy and feature locally produced, farm-fresh foods on menus. Students win. Local small businesses win. The regional agricultural economy flourishes.
Education
We support educators by helping kids learn about health, food, nutrition, and agriculture. From 2014-2019 and beyond we provide organic fertilizer, bedding plants, technical expertise, tastings, and sampling events to local schools.

Our Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch Fact Sheet is a detailed document for those of you interested in participating in the Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch this year. This includes ideas on how to promote the event, hold the event at a school or other venue, and fun activities to do at a Great Apple Crunch!
The School Garden Cookbook by the Captain Planet Foundation is an excellent resource including 17 easy-to-make recipes using farm fresh ingredients. These were made for about 20-25 students to complete in a classroom setting. Ask us about our applesauce classroom kit!
The Wisconsin DOA’s page for Farm to School not only details their goals for Farm to School but also includes links to resources about food safety, school gardens, Farm to School success stories, toolkits, Farm to ECE, and more.
Farm to School toolkits from UW Madison’s Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems will help you plan and perfect your program. Tips on estimating quantities, educating students, marketing your program, evaluating the success of your program, and building sustainable policies are just a few of the many resources this website has to offer.
The USDA Food and Nutrition Service’s Farm to School page provides helpful information about grants as well as reviews and reports on how Farm to School is being implemented around the country.
The USDA Farm to School Planning Toolkit includes tips on how to brand and market your Farm to School program, create a vision for your program, source and buy local foods, menu plan to integrate local foods, food safety, school gardens, and more. It is one of the most complete Farm to School guides out there—a must-have in terms of resources!
